Nigeria
The National Secretary has informed that several BB members who are in the armed forces have lost their lives in various attacks. He would value our prayers for the families and the situation.
At the last WARF meeting it was decided to approach Sierra Leone with a view to holding the 2012 meeting there. Unfortunately with elections coming, Violence has already occurred and is likely to escalate nearer the time. However, an officer's training programme looks set to go ahead in April run by Ghana. BB Sierra Leone also need our prayers.
Thailand
Last year Thailand suffered some very bad flooding as t his photograph shows.

But despite all the loss, members rise to the situation.

Congo
We have been informed that the BB in Congo has translated all Brigade Handbooks from English to French.
Tanzania
Boys Brigade in the Diocese of Mara, Tanzania was restarted in November 2009. Since then it has had a good steady progress. Since November 2009 there have been 22 Companies opened in the Diocese of Mara, Tanzania. But opening new Companies is a reasonably easy task. The hard work involves training young men to be good confident leaders to teach the boys the various aspects of the BB program. This has been one of the many focuses of BB Mara.
