Chief Executive
Leif Rasmussen
Leif is born in Denmark and has since his childhood been member of FDF, and still he is. There he took part in all kind of music activities. Later he became a secretary in FDF and was for years responsible for leader-training and education on national level. By profession he is a teacher and taught many years at a boarding school for adults, mainly in literature and methodology and education. This year he retired from the school, and got his new job in GF. He is also passionately involved in song-and hymn writing, and has written several songs used all over the country.

Morten Skrubbeltrang
Morten hails from Denmark where he has a Bachelor in Theology. At present he is studying for his Masters in Theology which will be completed in 2008.
Previously he was employed as the International Secretary of FDF Denmark where amongst other things he was responsible for the last two large international projects in FDF – one in the Philippines and also the Made in India programme. He has served as Chairman for the FDF International Committee.
Currently he is living in India having just married in Tamil Nadu. He is undertaking field studies concerning the understanding of mission in the Arcot Lutheran Church. From mid 2008 he will be based back in Denmark.
The GF Council elected Morten as Chairman of the Executive Committee.
Matthew Smith
Matthew is a barrister with a specialism in charity law, although his practice includes fraud, insolvency and trusts-based litigation.
He has been a member of the Boys’ Brigade in the United Kingdom (BB UK) since he was a young boy and is now an Officer in the 5th London company.
He has been privileged to meet a number of the Fellowship’s colleagues around the world since he was appointed Treasurer of Global Fellowship in 2004 and looks forward to continuing to work with them over the coming 3 years.
Bill bates
Bill is a retired policeman living on the Isle of Wight, off the south coast of England. He is Captain of 1st Newport (IW) Boys’ Brigade and has been in BB since the age of 11. On retirement he worked with Mercy Ships and whilst in Sierra Leone became involved with BB in Freetown. His experience led him to work with Global Fellowship and he now has a special interest in the West African region. Bill’s aim is to encourage the countries within the West African Regional Fellowship to work closer together in order to make the BB self sufficient.
Stephen Lane
Stephen is a member of the BB UK & Ireland national executive, the Chairman and trustee of a number of other national and local charities and a former European Region ExCo member of the World Conference and Global Fellowship. He is married and both his wife and daughter are Brigade officers and like him are involved in a number of youth organisations. He is a self-employed management services provider in the commercial world and member of the executive of the Thames North Synod of the United Reformed Church. Over the years Stephen has visited most of the Regional Fellowships and, following a project in the Caribbean is presently supporting the work of the East African Regional Fellowship. His interests other than travelling range from producing ceremonial events to, when he makes the time, painting.
